Third Year Undergraduate
Electrical and Electronic Engineering
Imperial College London

A Sudanese national born in Kenya, I moved to Saudi Arabia at a young age, where I attended the British International School of Jeddah. Spending the majority of my life a student in a small school with peers from over 60 different countries, I have grown to understand the benefits of an international community. I am able to communicate respectfully with people from different cultures, as well as easily and quickily acclimatize to new environments.

Currently, I am a third year undergraduate at Imperial College London studying towards a Master of Engineering (MEng) in Electrical and Electronic Engineering with Management.

Beyond academia, I have frequently undertook internships in the technology, finance and consulting industries. Furthermore, I am interested in entrepreneurship and spend time learning how and trying to turn innovative ideas into businesses.

Interested in international politics and diplomacy, I frequently take part in Model United Nations conferences, and have assumed a wide range of roles including delegate in a variety of committees and councils, Assistant-President of the Economic and Social Council, and Secretary-General. Furthermore, I am a member of the Imperial College Model United Nations Society and engage in weekly debate sessions.

Additionally, I enjoy playing the Guitar, and was a member of the school band at the British International School of Jeddah. I enjoy watching and playing football (soccer), and I am a member of the Imperial College Association Football Club.

As a supporter of the Peace One Day (POD) organisation, to increase the awareness of peace in my local community and raise funds for POD, I orgainsed One Day One Goal events in September of 2011 and 2012. One Day One Goal is an annual global football event initiated by POD. In 2014 and 2015, I assisted in providing therapeutic horse riding, run by Open Skies, for physically disabled children in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
